A double egress frame is a double door frame prepared to receive two single acting doors swinging in opposite directions both doors are the same hand. Mounting brackets may also be needed if parallel arm door closers or surface mounted vertical rod panic hardware or fire exit hardware is used. A double egress door system has two doors that swing in opposite directions from each other one side for people going out and one side for people going in.
