Does Black Guttering Fade

Think about what your house looks like from the kerb does it have an overall colour feel.

Does black guttering fade. Will i regret getting black. Or paint them with a black gloss hammerite paint. I said we needed brown as everything else was brown and it d look daft. I want it all changed and was going to go for black again as i think white looks dirty quickly.

Trade said it was no problem but said black plastic is much cheaper than brown plastic. He went off and came back saying the deep flow brown plastic guttering was way more expensive than the black plastic so didn t go for it as he thought we would find it too expensive. We are getting some custombiltmetals aluminum gutters on house. I have no problem with gutters and downspouts individually and strategically color coded so they fade away. We were gonna get black to go with the black shutters on house. Point being it s not a big deal to customize your gutter color and downspout color.

What i mean by customized for downspouts is paint them to match the body of the house if at all possible so they disappear. There s not much glamour in gutter systems but when properly installed they do a great job of directing roof runoff away from your home. Just about all pvc gutter systems come in black white and brown so in some respects it is down to personal choice. Flowing gutters drain hundreds of gallons of water away from the foundation.
